First and foremost, this is an excellent book. That being said, it is not an easy graphic novel to read. So I've visited this house many times, for reasons other than My Friend Dahmer. Let me start by saying this one of my first forays into the Graphic Novel universe, and it was definitely a good choice to start with, for those of you that also may not like graphic novels. MY FRIEND DAHMER provides a graphic novel about the notorious serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, who to the author was a high school friend. One perk I really enjoy is that from time to time Editor Charlie sends me an Abrams book he's particularly proud of or thinks I'll appreciate. At the beginning of every month Akron-Summit County Public Library hosts a speaker series called The Main Event. This is another reading challenge book and after I got it out I decided I wouldn't read it. Interesting story well told capturing the disfunction of smalltown 70s in Ohio.
